Sponsorships from individuals and businesses keep our organization and our programming alive. You can sponsor UNAR’s key program efforts in the Rochester, New York Area which include our UN Day Event, Model UN Conference and Internship Program.

Model United Nations Conference
Our Model UN program is our largest program that hosts over 600 students each year from high schools in the Upstate and Rochester regions at St. John Fisher University. Your sponsorship will help support the event that educates students about issues on a world-wide level and promotes international activism in young students.

Internship Program
Our internship program runs year round and we work with students from different schools across the Rochester region. This program is fundamental to our organization and our interns have the opportunity to work hands on with our small office team to promote UN initiatives and create a difference in the community through through our Community Partner Organization support. Your sponsorship will help us to continue to offer internships and professional development opportunities for our interns.

United Nations Day
The UN Day marks the anniversary of the official entry into force of the UN Charter. October 24th has been celebrated as the UN Day since 1948 and was recommended by the General Assembly to be observed as a global holiday by Member States since 1971. Annually this day celebrates and reflects on the dedicated work of the UN and its family of specialized agencies. UNAR celebrates UN Day locally and chooses a topic to promote and discuss with the local community.

Support our mission by contributing a donation. The United Nations Association of Rochester (UNAR), though a chapter of UNA-USA, is an independent 501(c)(3) registered in the US under EIN 22-2365160 and is responsible for securing its own funding.
